Black Cell is the 3rd short album from San Francisco bay area electronic music producer Idea Unsound. It was created in response to a rise in police brutality in America over the last year, especially that effecting the African American community. The music of Black Cell incorporates a variety of styles from various musical forms, including jazz, dubstep, hip hop, and electronic avant-garde. The album is mostly wordless, however it does feature samples of political commentary and personal themes concerning African-American culture, police violence, paranoia, and institutional discrimination.
